The draws for the 2026 USSSA National Boys Football Championship were held at the GNS Plaza, Kampala, on Monday, April 27.

USSSA Executive Committee member Ayub Khalifa Kiyinji supervised this draw, also witnessed by Christopher Mugisha (CEO), president emeritus Alfred Okanya and Richard Muhumuza.

The draw assistants were Sharon Kaidu, Immaculate Natasha and Solomon Walusimbi, all former USSSA sports graduates.

Defending champions Buddo Secondary School will face Masindi SS, Kaserem SS and Teso College Aloet in Group A.

Record winners St Mary’s Kitende are pooled in Group A along with Bukedea Comprehensive North, Seroma Christian High and Kampala region champions Lubiri Secondary School

The championship will be hosted by Lira Town College in Lira District, Northern Uganda, between 10th and 20th May 2026.

  1. Good to see the draws but the organizing committee should ensure that only players who are eligible should play. We witnessed men who played in disguise of being within the age battling eligible players. Some schools have even reached levels of changing learners ages to make them play the tournament through NIRA and have been paying huge sums of money to that effect. Screen all teams and non bonafide players should not even be allowed to stay in the camp. I submit
