A total of forty-eight (48) teams were drawn during the 2026 USSSA Ball Games 1 for girls’ basketball.
The well-attended draw was conducted at the GNS Plaza in Mengo, Kampala.
There are eight groups, each comprising six teams.
Wakiso region based St Noa Girls Secondary School – Zana is in Group A with Tororo Girls SS, Hope S.S Nakirebe, Mbale S.S., and St Michael High School.
Favourites St Mary’s Kitende are caged in group H alongside Great Aubrey Memorial, St. Mary’s Kitende, Iganga S.S., and Naalya S.S.
Another group worth the time following with keen attention is group D that has the likes of Maryhill High School, St. Cyprian High School – Kyabakadde, St. Mary’s Rushoroza, Kibuli S.S and Maryland High School.
Hosts, Seroma Christian High School, are in Group C with Kisubi Mapeera, Amus College School, Buddo S.S., and Sacred Heart Mushanga.
Besides Basketball, there will also be action in girls’ football, Table Tennis, Hockey, Rugby, Volleyball (U-17) and Netball (U-17).
The games will last for ten days from 29th April to 8th May 2026. The top four teams will represent Uganda at the 2026 East African Games in Morogoro, Tanzania, due in August this year.
