Police Football Club completed a double against UPDF Football Club in the ongoing Uganda Premier League.

Police secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory against UPDF in the UPL encounter at Kira Road Police Arena, Kamwokya on Wednesday.

Charles Bbaale and Brian James Obedi were on target as the Cops secured maximum points in front of their home crowd.

Bbaale curled home the ball beautifully in top of the corner to place the home side in the driving seat, eight minutes into the game.

Bbaale had a chance to double Police’s lead in a one-on-one situation but the forward failed to place the ball past goalkeeper Richard Anyama.

Police goalkeeperSammon Oloka made a big save in the 34th minute to deny Christopher Kamagu from close distance.

Seven minutes into the second stanza, Obedi doubled Police’s lead with a stunning effort from a tight angle.

The victory takes Police to the sixth position with 44 points while UPDF remain 13th on 21 points after playing 26 games.
