Fortebet Real Stars awards winners for month of April 2026 hold their plaques with other officials

The Fortebet Real Stars Awards were started to appreciate and handsomely pay off sporting excellence.

The crowing ceremony for the Fortebet Real monthly awards for the outstanding sports personalities in April 2026 took place at Nanjing Restaurant in Kololo, Kampala on May 5th.

The awarded athletes came from football, Rugby and Basketball.

Goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo, also the team captain at NEC Football Club was best in football.

Ssebwalunyo kept five clean sheets and also managed to score two goals in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

He came top ahead of Maroons’ midfielder Ivan Mayanja and Sports Club Villa striker Frank Ssebuufu.

I am grateful to God for enabling me to win this. This award is a result of unity in my team plus the push from fellow players, especially the goalkeepers who always challenge me.”

Other winners:

Stanbic Black Pirates’ Alex Aturinda edged beat Proscovia Mukyala (Thunderbirds) and Daniels Otim (Buffaloes) to the Rugby award.

Edreene Ekau of Rezlife Stars earned the basketball award. Ekau averaged 20 points per game, seeing off competition from Faheed Baale (City Oilers) and Tracy Namugose (KCCA Leopards.

Fortebet Ambassador Alex Muhangi, Jude Color Solutions’ Eron Nandawula and Real Stars agency CEO Isaac Mukasa graced the well attended awards.

The winners are rewarded with winners accolades as well as cash prizes from the sponsors Fortebet and Jude Color Solutions.

These awards are to appreciate and handsomely pay off sporting excellence.
