Uganda U17 Men’s National Team, the Cubs, defeated Mozambique on Tuesday as the two teams faced off in a friendly game.
The game played at the Annexe Terrain Mohammed V in Casablanca, Morocco, Uganda secured a comfortable 3-1 win.
Arafat Ibanda came through with a second-half brace to add to Brian Olwo’s first-half strike, thus leading Uganda to victory.
Both Uganda and Mozambique are preparing for the forthcoming AFCON U17 Tournament that gets underway on 13th May 2026 in Morocco.
Uganda will have another friendly game on Saturday against Mali to wrap up the preparations.
It should be noted that at the AFCON U17, Uganda is in Group B alongside the Ivory Coast, Cameroon and DR Congo.
