Calvary, or Golgotha, is the biblical site near Jerusalem where Jesus Christ was crucified. He carried the cross after being sentenced by Pontius Pilate.

If there is anything that Calvary FC has done in the Uganda Premier League this season, almost all the burden has been shouldered by one man, Lawrence Olaboro.

The striker was once again the savior as the Yumbe based outfit defeated Police 1-0 on Wednesday at Midigo Primary School Playground.

The result lifted Calvary off the base of the pile for the first time in a long time, albeit still rooted in the relegation zone.

Olaboro just like he did against KCCA, scored the lone goal of the game to guide Calvary past the Cops.

With the club scoring only eleven goals in 27 games, Olaboro has scored six of those, including four of those leading them to the three wins they have this season.

He scored a brace in the 2-0 win over Buhimba United and netted in the identical 1-0 wins over KCCA and Police today.

The result against Police takes them to 16 points, five behind the safety line with three games to play.

The final three games will see Calvary visit URA and UPDF next before ending the season at home against NEC.
