• Victoria Crocs 52-74 City Oilers

Even without Landry Ndikumana, Rogers Dauna and Joel Lukoji, City Oilers managed to bag an easy win.

City Oilers secured a well-deserved 74-52 victory against Victoria Crocs in the National Basketball League encounter at Abja Park on Wednesday.

The Victoria Crocs came out of their blocks early creating a six-point (14-08) lead but the Oilers came out of the opening period with one-point (18-17) lead.

City Oilers had a moster performance in the second frame pushing some pressure on the ball. The Oilers took a nine-point (37-28) lead.

Coming from the long break, Victoria Crocs kept the fight alive until midway through the third period as the Oilers extended the lead to 12 points (55-43).

However, the final frame was all in favour of the Oilers as they limited the Crocs to only nine minutes.

City Oilers cleaned the glass with 59 rebounds, 23 times more than the Victoria Crocs. The record champions had a sloppy day but still managed to collect 22 points from the bench push.

Chuol Nyout (22 points and 11 rebounds) and Joel Kayiira (14 points and 17 rebounds) managed double doubles on the day.
