Kichwamba High School defeated Bwera SS 1-0 during group C on match day one of the 2026 USSSA Boys football championship at the Dr Obote College playground 1 on Monday, 11th May.

Robert Nkasiima’s header in the 28th minute was the all-important goal for Kicwamba High School.

The other group C contest witnessed Agap S.S  triumph majestically 6-1 over Makobore High School at the Lango College II playground in a one sided duel that took Agape SS top of the pool.

On Tuesday morning, Agape will face Kicwamba High School at the Lango College 2 playground in a definitely a cracker that will decide who tops this group.

In other results on the opening day, the defending champions Buddo S.S edged Teso College Aloet at the regreened Lira Town College playground.

Aaron Okello and Hillary Tumusiime were on target for Buddo S.S.

Bukedea Comprehensive (South) whipped PP Newton 4-1. Simon Wanyama and Bob Atendele each had a brace in this match.

Musa Joshua was on target as Aringa SS beat St Joseph Buyaga 1-0 whilst Masaka SS overcame Lumino High 2-1.

Hosts Lira Town College lost 1-3 to NUMASA, Kyadondo SS defeated Kigumba Intensive 2-1.

The contest between Madinah Islamic and Kitgum High ended goal-less whilst Kalisizo Seed and Jinja Progressive Academy played to a 1-all draw.

Joram Mukisa gave JIPRA the lead in the 26th minute with Abdul Murungi replying for Kalisizo Seed through a well converted penalty.

The matches will run until the 19th June 2026 at the different grounds in Lira city with the semi-finalists booking their berths to the 2026 FEASSA Games in Morogoro city, Tanzania.
