Mamelodi Sundowns legend Denis Onyango has named the club’s top five players he has played with.

Onyango has so far spent over 15-years at the club and lifted 9 Premier League titles.

In an extensive interview with Pitchside, that tackled different topics including his time with Uganda Cranes, rescinding the retirement decision and many others, Onyango was asked who he is top five players at Sundowns during his time at the club.

“Tough question,” he smiled as he responded. “For the time I have been here, I have played with many top guys but top five; Themba Zwane, Hlompho Kekana, Khama Billiat, Teboho Mokoena and Percy Tau,” he revealed.

On Khama, Onyango described him as an incredible striker who could play decently either as a winger or striker.

The most decorated PSL player also had very kind words for Percy Tau who he described as a monster.

“Percy Tau – That left foot,” he exclaimed. “He was a monster, small man with a big heart. Never intimidated by anyone. That’s why he played in England and Belgium. He has had an incredible career.”

Onyango, as expected picked Pitso Mosimane as the best coach he has played under at the club but also credited all the coaches that have guided him through his career.
