KCCA have an opportunity to cut Vipers’ lead to just three points but have to beat relegation fighting UPDF at Bombo on Wednesday.

The Kasasiro, second with 55 points are now six points behind the Venoms who drew a third game in a row in a frustrating goalless clash at Kiira Road.

Co-coach Jackson Magera expects a tough game against the army side, third from bottom with 21 points, only four points above the last team occupying the relegation zone.

“Game against UPDF are always difficult and it will be same,” said Magera. “They are fighting relegation and we must be clinical at both ends of the pitch to pick maximum points,” he added.

Asked whether he looks at the opponents especially Vipers’ results in this regard, Magera said all they care about now is winning their matches.

“For now, our target is to win all our remaining matches and we don’t care about other peoples’ results.”

Said Mayanja returns to the squad after missing the 3-0 win over Maroons to bolster the attack that also has leading goal scorer Ivan Ahimbisibwe.

KCCA have also just once in 17 matches against UPDF since 2015 [W12, D4].
