Following the completion for the grueling group stage action at the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Boys’ football, focus swiftly turns to the knockouts and classification games; commencing with round of 32 on Friday, 15th May 2026.

The group stages have been played since Monday with the top two schools from the 16 groups progressing to the round of 32.

Four grounds will be used for the round of 32 games; Lira Town College; Lango College (I & II) as well as Dr. Obote College (I&II).

9 AM Games:

The early kick off games will come at 9 AM. The reigning champions Buddo S.S take on Kisozi Seed SS at Lira Town College playground.

Masindi S.S squares up against Mbale Progressive at the  Lango College playground 1

Kicwamba High School football team

Kicwamba High School will face Kawempe Muslim at the Dr Obote College playground 1.

The other 9 am kick off duel has Agape S.S against London College Nansana at Dr Obote College playground 2.

11 AM Games:

The second set of games will come at 11 AM.

Kyadondo S.S tussles against Mukono Kings High School at the Lira Town College ground.

Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) will take on the 2024 finalists Amus College School at Lango College 1 playground.

Ssingo S.S battles Nkoma SS at the Dr Obote College 1 playground whilst Ibanda S.S confronts Lira city’s Mentor S.S at Dr Obote College 2 playground.

Bukedea Comprehensive South takes on Bristol SS

2 PM Games:

For the 2 PM duels; pre-tournament favourites Bukedea Comprehensive South will face Bristol S.S at the Lira Town College playground.

NUMASA S.S plays West Nile region’s Mvara S.S at Dr Obote College playground 1.

In a contest of two muslim faith based schools; Green Light Islamic School plays Kibuli S.S at Lango College playground 1.

The other 2 PM duel shall witness St Joseph S.S Buyaga against Busia S.S at Dr Obote College 2 playground.

Madina Islamic School football team plays Aiden College at the round of 32

4 PM Games:

The final set for the round of 32 kick off at 4 PM.

Masaka S.S battles Lake Side S.S at Lira Town College. Madina Islamic S.S will face Aiden College School at Lango College playground 1, Ngora High School takes Lubiri S.S at Dr Obote College  Playground 1 and Kitara S.S will face record winners St Mary’s Kitende at Dr Obote College Playground 2.

The successful 16 schools will march to the round of 16 stage due on Saturday, 16th May 2026 with eliminated ones engaged in the 17 to 31 position classification games.

Boys’ football is a premier competition organized by the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA).

The other competitions include Ball Games 1 (Basketball, Rugby 15’s, Hockey, Girls football, Netball U-17, Handball U-17), the swimming gala and Ball Games 2 (Basketball 3X3), Rugby 7’s, Netball U-17, Tennis, Handball, Dancesport and woodball.

  • Bukedea Comprehensive School North 0-2 Lubiri S.S

Group M:

  • Kitgum Standard High School 4-1 Lumino High School
  • Madinah Islamic 1-1 Masaka S.S

Group L:

  • Busia SS 1-0 Kibuli S.S
  • St Kagwa Bushenyi 2-2 Kabalega S.S
