NUMASA S.S defeated Busia S.S 2-0 during the round of 16 contest at the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Boys football in Lira city, Northern Uganda.
Industrious forward Hassan Waiswa and Viane Kalinzi were on target in either half at the Dr Obote College playground 1 on Saturday afternoon.
Waiswa put the Masaka city based school ahead in the 17th minute before a second half strike by Kalinzi to seal their journey to the quarter-finals due on Sunday, 17th May 2026.
NUMASA joined Bukedea Comprehensive South, Kyadondo S.S, Amus College School, London College Nansana and Buddo S.S to the quarter-finals.
Amus College School ejected Mentor SS 1-0 at the Dr Obote College playground with Ivan Okello on target.
The early kick off at Dr Obote College playground witnessed the cup holders Buddo S.S defeat Kawempe Muslim S.S 2-1.
Ambrose Aboy scored a brace for Buddo S.S whilst Ukasha Kimbowa got the consolation for Kawempe Muslim.
London College Nansana endured a goal-less stalemate after normal time to win the shoot-out 4-2 past Mbale Progressive Secondary School.
Quarter final match ups:
Kyadondo S.S will face Buddo S.S as Amus College School shall take on London College Nansana in the quarter finals on Sunday, 17th May 2026.
On Saturday evening, two games will climax the round of 16 matches.
A new trophy was officially unveiled on Thursday, 14th May 2026 and will be handed over to the champions after the final on Tuesday.
