Cameroon's Nouhou Tolo tussles for the ball with Zimbabwe forward Prince Dube

The Zimbabwe National football team head coach Kaitano Tembo released a squad of 23 players who will compete at the 2026 Unity Cup at the London Valley in the United Kingdom (26th to 31st May).

This four nation tournament will involve two African countries Zimbabwe and Nigeria; as well as India and Jamaica.

Young African’s forward Prince Dube is among the forwards on the team that also has Tino Kadewere from Aris Thessaloniki in Greece, Bill Antonio (KV Mechelen, Belgium), Tawanda Maswanhise (Motherwell, Scotland), Junior Zindoga (TS Galaxy, South Africa) and Daniel Msendami (Orlando Pirates, South Africa).

There are three goalkeepers including Brentford’s Marley Tavaziva, Future Sibanda (ZPC Kariba, Zimbabwe) and Elvis Chipezeze from Magesi in South Africa.

The summoned defenders are Sean Fusire (Sheffield Wednesday), Munashe Garananga (Hibernian), Corbin Mithunzi (Ipswich Town), Shane Maroodza (FK Sarajevo, Bosnia), Gerald Takwara (Al Ittihad Misurata, Libya), Jordan Zemura (Udinese, Italy), Divine Lunga (Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa) and Emmanuel Jalai (Durban City, South Africa).

The cast of midfielders has the tried and tested Marvelous Nakamba (Sheffield Wednesday), Tawanda Chirewa (Barnsley), Aboubacar Moffat (Scottland, Zimbabwe), Jonah Fabisch (Erzgebirge Aue, Germany) and Mongameli Tshuma (Highlanders, Zimbabwe).

Nigeria has won the all the previous three editions of the Unity Cup in 2002, 2004 and lately 2025.

The tournament venue is at The Valley in Charlton, South East London in the United Kingdom.

Schedule:

Nigeria face Zimbabwe on 26th May 2026; this will be followed by India against Jamaica on the next da.

The third place and final will be played on 30th May 2026.
