Kawempe Muslim Women Football Club has clinched the 2025/26 FUFA Women Super League title.
This was after Kawempe Muslim secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory against Olila High School in the FWSL encounter at the Valley Grounds on Sunday.
Coming into the final day of the championship, two teams (She Corporate and Kawempe Muslim) had a chance to lift the prestigious trophy.
While both sides needed a win to lift the title, Kawempe needed more than a victory because as they fought for maximum points, they also needed She Maroons’ push to frustrate She Corporate.
Jovia Nakagolo, Latifah Nakasi and Agnes Nabukenya were on target as the Valley Warriors secured a big win on final day of the campaign.
Nakogolo fired the home side into the lead after 11 minutes but the visitors levelled matters in the 24th minute keeping the fans on the edge.
Three minutes past the half-hour mark, ever green Nabukenya regained Kawempe’s slim lead that was dragged into the halftime break.
With five minutes to play, Nakasi converted from the 12-yard mark. to put the icing on the cake as Kawempe bagged the bragging rights.
On the other hand, She Corporate played to a goalless draw with She Maroons thus falling to the second position with 51 points on the final day.
