Quarter-finals:

- Bukedea Comprehensive School South (4) 1 – 1 (1) Masaka SS
The quarter-finals at the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Boys’ football in Lira city, Northern Uganda were completed on Sunday, 17th May.
St Mary’s Kitende, Amus College School, Kyadondo S.S Matugga and Bukedea Comprehensive School South all progressed to the semi-final due on Monday.
A dominant one-sided 6-0 victory sealed the place for St Mary’s Kitende past a hapless NUMASA S.S side at the Dr Obote College playground.

Denis Kisiriko scored a hattrick, with a goal apiece from Isaac Ssekate, Claude Wakenge and Jordan Tugume compiling more misery on the evening past NUMASA S.S goalkeeper John Fisher Lubega.
“We had a solid performance in the quarter final and I salute my fellow teammates. There is still unfinished business with the semi-final as we target the final” Collins Ochatre, captain of St Mary’s Kitende remarked.

NUMASA S.S head coach Tony Kintu Ssenabulya was disappointed by the result and performance on the day but was quick to hail the character of his players at the championship.
“We had a poor show against St Mary’s Kitende. Overall, I am satisfied for the progress of the team up to the quarterfinal for the first time ever” Ssenabulya hinted.

St Mary’s Kitende will now face Amus College School in Monday’s semi-final showdown.
Amus College overcame London College Nansana 1-0 courtesy of a goal by Mudasir Ijosiga.
Meanwhile, Bukedea Comprehensive School South takes on London College Nansana in the other semi-final.
Bukedea Comprehensive School South won 4-1 in post match penalties over Masaka S.S at the Dr Obote College playground 1 after a 1-all draw in normal time.
Ronald Ssali’s coached side took the lead through Simon Wanyama before Masaka S.S’s late-late equalizer through Isaac Kafuuma to push the game into extra-time.
During the penalties, Bukedea Comprehensive School South goalkeeper Tonny Katangalo saved two saves from Ali Ssemakula and Isaac Kitty.
Only Pius Ekusai scored for Masaka S.S. Simon Wanyama, Musa Godi, Bob Jeriga and captain Patrick Ssenkusa were on target for Bukedea Comprehensive School South.

The championship attracted as many as 64 schools from the different corners of the country.
