UCU Canons secured a well-deserved 77-48 victory against JKL Dolphins in the National Basketball League encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
UCU Canons opened a two-point (16-14) lead at the end of the opening period.
In the second quarter, it was a one-way traffic as the JKL Dolphins were limited to only nine points, trailing by 17 points going into the long break.
Coming from the halftime break, the Dolphins greatly improved their ball handling but trailed by 23 points at the end of the third period.
Solomon Olara’s layup concluded the game as the Canons bagged a 29-point victory.
Jimmy Otim (16 points), Alier Pech (16 points) and Ekirapa Zachariah (14 points) led the Canons scoring chart in double digits.
Only Haron Arinaitwe reached double digits for the Dolphins after dropping 12 points.
