• Angels 37-98 KCCA Leopards

KCCA Leopards secured a dominant 98-37 victory against Angels in the National Basketball League encounter at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Sunday.

Susan Aanyu was the star of the day after dropping 46 points thus setting a new record as far as the league is concerned.

Aanyu had a great day in office as she dropped 16 of the 23 attempts within the paint before adding five buckets beyond the area.

Her trip on the line was decent still as she converted nine of the 11 attempts on the line.

Tracy Namugosa (11 points) and Martha Soigi (10 points) added also contributed to the Leopards’ scoring chart in double digits.

On the other hand, only Marion Anyanzwa reached the double digits scoring 10 for the Angels.

Mellisa Nantambi’s layup concluded the opening frame as the Angels trailed by three points (15-18) at the quarter.

The Angels were limited to no basket in the second quarter, as the Leopards raced to a 32-point (47-15) lead going into the half time break.

Coming from the long break, the Angels slightly improved, posting some points on the boards but trailed by 44 points (29-73) going into the final frame.

It was a one-way traffic affair as the Leopards secured a dominant 61-point victory.
