- Maroons 0-3 Vipers
Vipers SC has clinched the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League title to extend their count to eight.
Vipers secured a well-deserved 3-0 victory against Maroons in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
Yunus Sentamu, Usama Arafat and Abdul Karim Watambala were on target as Vipers secured maximum points.
Sentamu fired home under a minute, tapping home Milton Karisa’s effort from close range.
Marvin Oshaba thought he had levelled matters after being set up by Ivan Ashaba but the ball was just not to have crossed the line after Kevin Dasyliva’s clearance.
Usama Arafat’s deflected effort found the back of the net at the end of the first half as the Venoms took a comfortable lead into the long break.
Once again, Maroons’ backline was clumsy, giving away a loose ball. Watambala pounced on the ball before firing into the back of the net.
Karisa got a chance to extend Vipers’ lead in the dying minutes but his effort was far from the target with only a goalkeeper to beat.
The victory takes Vipers to 64 points on top of the table while Maroons remain 10th with 35 points with 29 league games played.
