Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed the date and venue for the Uganda Cup final between Kitara and Sports Club Villa.
The FUFA Stadium – Kadiba in Mengo has been confirmed as the venue for this high-profile match on 30th May 2026, whose winner will qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Jogoos made it to the final after a 3-0 aggregate victory over Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) over two legs.
The opening leg had SC Villa win 2-0 at Hamz Stadium before triumphing 1-0 at their Kadiba fortress in the return leg.
For Kitara, they qualified for the final at the expense of Vipers after that nervy one-all draw away at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende, to make it on away goals rule.
The first leg at the Royal Park in Butema, Hoima, was goalless.
Kitara will be seeking to claim their second title as SC Villa eyes the 10th title.
The Uganda Cup has been played since 1971. It remains a prestigious championship since it involves all the football clubs from different divisions, including non-league teams.
Entry fees for the final have been set at Ugx 20,000 and Ugx 50,000 for ordinary and VIP, respectively.

Corrupt FUFA, a high profile match in that small stadium. Why not Nakivubo or St Marys Kitende or Kcc stadium. Ok we know national stadiums are busy being renovated but we have the ones better than that is size. I feel instead of us growing the football is dying before our eyes. Magogo and the entire team of fufa should be kicked out if Ugandan football is to grow.
Nakivubo, St Mary’s and KCCA stadiums are private properties hence their usage comes at monetary cost whereas Kadiba is owned by cost. Only utility and maintenance costs. In summary its cheaper
