Game 4: Cricket Cranes vs MCA XI
- Cricket Cranes 194 all out
- MCA XI 141 all out
- Cricket Cranes won by 53 runs
Uganda’s Cricket Cranes continued to enjoy the success on their Tour of Mumbai after picking up their fourth win of the series.
Steve Tikolo made some changes to the team, with Enock Kasaija and Fahad Mutagana given their first run out of the series.
The Cricket Cranes batted first for the first time on the tour. Ronald Lutaaya (23) and Sarvesh Patil (49) combined for an opening stand of 73 while Charles Mushemeza (21), Fahad Mutagana (31), Alpesh Ramjani (23) and Dinesh Ramjani (21) all got good starts, and at 170/6 they looked for a big total. However, the tail that has been reliable throughout the tour failed to hold, with the team bundled out for only 194 inside 45 overs.
In the run chase, the hosts were rocked early with the two wickets from debutant Enock Kasaija that left them reeling at 17/2 inside three overs.
The hosts steadied the ship in the middle orders, but when they needed to kick on, they failed to put away the slow bowling options of Alpesh Ramjani (2/19), Joseph Baguma (3/37) and Sirajje Nsubuga (1/14). The run chase running out of steam with still 53 runs required for the win.
It was the fourth win for the Cricket Cranes on their tour of Mumbai as they continue to build up for the final round of the Challenge League B in Tanzania.
