The curtains came down on the Green Park football leagues on Friday May 22, 2026 at a glamorous awards ceremony held at the Green Park stadium, Mbarara.
From individual awards to team gongs, the excited guests were treated to entertainment led by superstar T-Paul.
At individual level, Marvin Onyango (open category) of Beyichini Real Estates, Ruharo Concrete’s Allan Kabagambe (35+ category) and Alinda Tumushabe (Female) of Mugumya Engineering Services won the Most Valuable Players (MVP) in the respective categories.
Other individual awards included the top scorers in all categories, the best female players, the referees, media personalities and other officials including team medics.
Beyichini Real Estates were crowned as the Open Category champions while the 35+ category was won by Ruharo Concrete.
Each team was also awarded with a plaque as an appreciation for being part of the competitions that were sponsored by among others Green Park, Olive Pharmacy, Beyichini Real Estates and Mbarara Sports Academy.
