Kho Kho Uganda successfully held their Annual General Assembly at Kyambogo University on Saturday, 30th May 2026.
Delegates from 87 districts of the country attended this convention that witnessed a rebrand of the entity from Uganda Kho Kho Federation to Kho Kho Uganda.

This assembly approved the annual budget of Ug.Shs 1.906 billion for the upcoming 2026-2027 season, confirmed the leaders and adopted the new official logo.
The budget approved will meet different programs as capacity-building initiatives, development training, organization of national leagues, preparations for the Commonwealth Kho Kho Championship due in October 2026 and hosting the inaugural East Africa Kho Kho Championship.

The assembly also confirmed the leadership led by president Mustapha Nsubuga.
There are three vice presidents; Jane Nakajubi (finance), Robert Ssozi (administration) and Siyeema Atukunda (technical and competition).

The others are Margret Harriet Apolot (General Secretary), Cyrus Semuhara (Deputy general secretary), Ali Junior Mwesigwa (treasurer), Godliver Apolot (publicity secretary) and Lynette Kabahenda (organizing secretary).

Kho Kho Uganda has also set in place strategies of spreading the sport to the countryside in the various districts with a number of domestic, regional and international competition.
This July, Kho Kho sport will be demonstrated at the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games II in Gulu city.
Internationally, Kho Kho Uganda will send a team to the Commonwealth championship due in October 2026 to be hosted in India.
