The Fortebet Real Stars Monthly Awards for the month of May 2026 were officially handed over on Tuesday, 2nd June at Nanjing Hotel in Kololo, Kampala.

Uganda Cranes and Young Africans’ forward Allan Okello won in football category.

Okello has been in sensational form, scoring and assisting at free-will in the Tanzania premier league for Young Africans who lead the table standings.

Christened as the “Star-Boy”, Okello scored a brace against Namungo and Singida.

At the awards, Okello was represented by his representative Sultan Atubo.

He beat Sports Club Villa’s Charles Lwanga and Uganda Cubs’ captain Owen Mukisa.

Lwanga was outstanding for Sports Club Villa during the run to the qualification to the final of the 52nd Stanbic Uganda Cup where the Jogoos lost 1-2 to Kitara at FUFA Technical centre, Njeru.

Mukisa captained Uganda national U-17 (The Cubs) to the World Cup, scoring key goals in the championship hosted by Morocco in Rabat city.

Athletics:

Steeple chase female athlete Peruth Chemutai won unanimously in the athletics docket having won the Xiamen steeplechase in the Wanda Diamond League 2026.

Chemutai clocked 8:51:06 to win the competitive race.

Other winners:

Netball:

Prisons netball club’s Christine Namulumba won the netball accolade. She beat Joan Nantumbwe (Police) and Margret Bagala (Kampala Capital City Authority).

Namulumba was outstanding performance at the 2026 East Africa Netball Championship held in Nairobi city as Prisons won the title.

Chess:

In Chess, Alvin Muhirwa beat the duo of Jacinta Mbabazi and Ronald Wabwire to the accolade.

Muhirwa won the U-16 cluster in the 2026 Africa Junior Chess Championship hosted by Uganda at the lake-side Imperial Botanical Hotel in Entebbe.

As a reward, he earned the FIDE Master title.

“I am happy for this award” Muhirwa remarked. “I thank everyone who supported me. I am targeting the Grand Master title” he added.

Muhirwa was accompanied by the president of Uganda Chess Federation Andrew Bakiza and coach Patrick Mukasa.

For starters, these awards are organized by the Real Stars Sports Agency with support from Jude Colour Solutions and betting firm, Foretbet Uganda Limited.
