Four clubs were confirmed promoted to the Uganda Premier League; Blacks Power (champions), Ntugasaze, Kataka and Kigezi Home Boyz. Mbale Heroes (17), Wakiso Giants (31), Soltilo Bright Stars (32) and Nebbi Central (34) were all relegated.

The last match day of the 2025/26 FUFA Big League season was held on Saturday, 6th June 2026 with the eight closing games.
A total of twenty (20) goals were scored on the final match day across various venues.
Four clubs were confirmed promoted to the Uganda Premier League; Blacks Power (champions), Ntugasaze, Kataka and Kigezi Home Boyz.
These now make the Uganda Premier League a total of 18 clubs for the season 2026/27; replacing the two demoted sides; Buhimba United Saints and Calvary.

Consequently, four clubs were demoted to the respectively regional leagues.
Mbale Heroes (17), Wakiso Giants (31), Soltilo Bright Stars (32) and Nebbi Central (34) were all relegated.
Mbale City has different emotions with Mbale Heroes suffering the drop to regional league after a dismissal season.
The 2-6 home loss to Iganga United was the final nail in their coffin as they go down to the Eastern regional league.
On a bright footing, Kataka registered a 2-0 victory on the road over Soltilo Bright Stars to confirm their promotion to the highest level on the pyramid of Uganda’s football.
Ali Ssentamu opened the scoring with a first half penalty before Usama Khayemba scored during the closing stages of the game for the victory that lifted them to 51 points, above Kigezi Home Boyz who lost 0-1 at home.
Champions:
Blacks Power Football Club from Lira City won the trophy on the final day of the season after picking a point from their goal-less stalemate on the road away to Onduparaka at the Aba Bet Green Light Stadium.
Ahead of their crowning ceremony on Sunday (7th June 2026), Blacks Power marked their return to the top flight division.
Ntugasaze completed the season in second position with 53 points after a well worked out 3-0 victory over Kiyinda Boys.
It was another grief story in West Nile region when Paidha Black Angels’ 1-0 victory relegated Nebbi Central.
Elsewhere, Kaaro Karungi won 1-0 over Bunyaruguru United in Kasese.
CATDA shocked Kigezi Home Boyz 1-0 at the Al Madina stadium in Kabale as Young Elephants smiled past Wakiso Giants 4-0 at the Elepahants Park in Nwoya district.
The FUFA Big League is organized by the FUFA Competitions department, now headed by Shawn Mubiru who replaced Aisha Nalule last month.
