Overview:

Kyaggwe officially commences the season with an away contest against Mawokota on 21st June. A week later, the Bukunja Warriors will play host to Busiro on 28th June at the Bishops SS fortress in Mukono.

The 2026 Buganda Masaza Cup competition is expected to draw stiff competition from all the 18 teams within Buganda Kingdom.

Kyaggwe Ssaza confirmed the season squad that has 31 players, young talents, mixed with the experienced crop.

The ceremony took place at the Bishops Secondary School grounds Mukono on Sunday, 7th June before a friendly duel against Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) which ended goalless.

The players were officially unveiled before the fans alongside the members of the technical docket.

There are four goalkeepers to include Peter Katongole, Joel Byamukama, Joram Nsubuga and Eddy Kalema.

The crop of defenders has Godfrey Arijole, Julius Kato, Emma Shikanga, Samuel Kisozi Mande, Vincent Agaku, Christopher Lubuuka, Muhammad Kafeero, Stuart Miiro, Tonny Ssengendo and James Kaye.

The midfield department has Ronnie Ziraba, Dan Mubaale, Yosam Ssembarirwa, Geofrey Ssenyonga, Saviour Mungujakisa, John Brian Otim and Ivan Mutebi.

Peter Calvin Emayo leads the cast of forwards that also entails Yusuf Ssebupenje, Shaban Kayongo, David Mugalu, Simon Wanyama, Lauren Lubwama, Innocent Matege, Derrick Taremwa and Ivan Kalyowa.

Among the new players; there is Joel Byamukama, Peter Kaye, Mande Kisozi, Ronnie Ziraba, Shaban Kayongo, Tony Ssengendo and Lauben Lubwama.

Technical wing:

Ronald Ssali is head coach. Ssali will serve along with Yassa Abdul, Juma Ssekiziyivu and William Kyeswa as immediate assistants.

Asadu Bugembe is goalkeeping coach as Denis Kizito is in charge of fitness.

Fred Mukiibi Muzube is the team welfare officer.

Management:

The team patrons are Wilson Mukiibi Muzzanganda and Robert Zikuzooka, director of Rose Foam.

Jimmy Kanaabi is chairperson, working with Ali Kiwanuka (administration), Shaddrach Nsobya (technical) and Fred Mpanga (secretary).

The team manager is Jonathan Ntulume, deputized by Samuel Kasasa.

The others are Aisha Lutale Naluzze (Treasurer), Dr. Edward Mukasa (medical), Norah Nansasi (assistant medic), Willy Kimera (safety and security) and Peace Diane Bagala (public relations).

Simon Peter Mugerwa is technical advisor. Bernard Bainamani, Mikidad Mulimila and David Kikabi are all advisors.

Edward Kaweesi is stadium manager, deputized by Nsobya Lumansi.

In 2024, Kyaggwe got close to winning the championship, only to fall short to Buddu 0-1 in the finals at Namboole stadium.

Last season, Kyaggwe Ssaza finished third to take home bronze.
