Uganda Premier League outfit URA has on Wednesday confirmed that striker Denis Kisirikko Luzige has extended his stay at the club by signing a new deal.

Kisirikko, first joined URA three years ago while still a student at Buddo SS. He has now put pen to paper on another three-year agreement.

The young forward joined the Tax Collectors in June 2023 but he is yet to fully make an impact at the club despite his immense potential.

Kisirikko is a Senior Six student at St. Mary’s Boarding School, Kitende and he could be more available once he completes his UACE Exams later this year.

There are also reports of renewing contracts of other youngsters in Innocent Kisoro and Godfrey Ssekibengo who also joined the club around the same time as Kisirikko.

With the arrival of coach Jimmy Kintu who believes in young players, the aforementioned trio could have more playing time next season.

URA have flattered to deceive over the years, often performing below expectations including last season where they finished a distant 11th on 31 points.

The target ahead of the 2026/27 season will therefore to get better and return to competing for titles.
