The Kabaddi Federation of Uganda signed a year-long deal with Kyano Estate International.
Kyano Estate International has been providing Ug.Shs 12,000,000 for the entire year as an annual development fee.
This was divided into four quarters, with Ug.Shs 3,000,000 given out per quarter.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Kyano Estate International for supporting Kabaddi sport development” Edgar Mujuni, CEO for Uganda Kabaddi Federation remarked.
The funds have been key to meet operational costs mostly office rent, schools championship, women national team preparation to women world cup 2025 Bangladesh, Under 20 Africa Kabaddi Championship hosted by Uganda, capacity building activities, among others.
Such made the federation strong, more popular and increased on national coverage of Kabaddi sport.
The Kabaddi federation of Uganda is currently preparing for 2026/2027 Financial Year activity calendar of both national and international activities, all Kabaddi playing schools are in preparations for the upcoming Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA Ball Games 2) from 8th to 18th July 2026 at Secred Heart Secondary school Gulu.
The men national team (Gladiators) is in a residential training camp preparing for 2026 Africa Kabaddi Cup of Nations from 1st to 10th August in Zanzibar.
The primary schools are preparing for their competitions at the different district levels.
Both men and women national teams shall represent Uganda at the 2026 Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship from 10th to 20th October in Amdabad, India.
“With all these activities, the Kabaddi Federation of Uganda is requesting for the Government, more private partners and sponsors to come and support Kabaddi sport development through these key and priority activities to have a more significant impact.” Mujuni urges.
