FUBA has confirmed that the National Basketball League (NBL) Playoffs have been extended to July 2026.
The development was made possible due to the National Team’s busy schedule. Ugandan basketball has a packed schedule as multiple national teams prepare for international duty.
The women’s national team is heading to France for the FIBA Women’s Series from June 16 to July 4, with stops in Orleans, Poitiers, and Marseille.
Meanwhile, the men’s national team will hold a training camp in Rwanda from June 20 to 30, ahead of the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers in Angola, which begin on July 2.
Additionally, the U23 men’s and women’s squads are set to represent the country at the FIBA U23 Nations League in Kenya from July 1 to 7.
At the end of the regular season, the Nam Blazers finished on top of the table, while the City Oilers finished second after a thrilling regular season.
On the other hand, UPDF Tomahawks and Kampala Rockets finished at the bottom of the log, thus dropping to the FUBA Division One.
