Tunisia have reportedly appointed legendary Herve Renard for the remaining part of the 2026 World Cup following the dismal of Sabri Lamouchi.

Lamouchi was shown the exit following a 5-1 demolition at the hands of Sweden in their opening match at Monterrey Stadium.

Previously coach of Côte d’Ivoire, as well as clubs in France, England, Wales and Saudi Arabia, Lamouchi was appointed as Tunisia’s coach in January following Sami Trabelsi’s departure after a last-16 exit to Mali in the CAF Africa Cup of Nations.

He has only managed five matches winning one, drawing as many and losing three.

Renard, who has coached Zambia, Morocco, Ivory Coast and Saudi Arabia among other national teams will start his campaign against Japan on June 20.
