2026 FIFA World Cup (Group L):
- England 4-2 Croatia
- Ghana 1-0 Panama
England captain Harry Kane scored twice in their 4-2 victory over Croatia during a Group L fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at the Dallas stadium.
Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford netted the other two goals for the victors.
Martin Baturina and Petar Musa were on target for Croatia.
Kane, who features for German club Bayern Munich, opened the scoring with a restarted penalty in the 12th minute.
The first attempt had been saved by goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic, who was judged to have moved off the line before the kick was taken.
Upon retake, Kane was perfect and sent Livakovic the wrong way for the opening goal well celebrated.
Croatia equalised in the 36th minute through FC Como’s Baturina, but six minutes later Kane restored England’s lead with a powerful header off a well-swung-in corner kick.
This goal took Kane’s overall personal tally at the FIFA World Cup to 10 goals from 12 games (level with the legendary Gary Lineker).
The opening stanza ended 2-all after Petar’s stoppage-time goal.
Upon the restart of play for the final stanza, Bellingham put England ahead once again.

Substitute Rashford (on loan at FC Barcelona from Manchester United) sealed the victory with five minutes left on the clock.
England is now top of Group L with three points and a two-goal difference. Ghana, which beat Panama 1-0, also has three points.
