France and Norway confirmed their Round of 32 slots with 3-0 and 3-2 victories over Iraq and Senegal, respectively, in Group I at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Kylian Mbappe once again scored twice in France’s 3-0 win over Iraq at Philadelphia Stadium. Ousmane Dembele added the other goal, subjecting Iraq to yet another defeat following the earlier 4-1 slip to Norway in Boston.
Marking his 100th appearance for France, Mbappe was again unstoppable, starring with two well-taken goals in the 14th and 54th minutes.
Dembele capped the icing on the cake with yet another brilliant, well-worked-out goal in the 66th minute.
This was France’s second victory after the 3-1 opening against Senegal at the New York New Jersey stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Mbappe (brace) and Bradley Barcola were on target for the French, whilst Ibrahim Mbaye scored the consolation goal for Senegal.

The other Group I tie witnessed Senegal fall 3-2 to Norway at the New York New Jersey Stadium.
Haaland scored two goals, and Marcus Holmgren Pedersen added the other for Norway, which now has six points, the same as France.
Senegal’s two consolation goals came from Ismaila Sarr.

Both Norway and France are the latest countries to advance to the Round of 32, joining co-hosts Canada and the United States of America (USA), Germany and Argentina.
