Colombia edged a hard-fighting Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 1-0 during a Group K match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at the Estadio Guadalajara, Mexico.
Daniel Munoz Mejia scored the all-important goal in the fast-paced duel.
The Crystal Palace right back was in the right position, at the right time, to finish past goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi in the 75th minute.
Munoz was named man of the match for the outstanding display. The match was also watched by the famous DR Congo fans, Lumumba.
Colombia recorded their second victory of the competition after a 3-1 victory over Uzbekistan.
The South Americans have now progressed to the Round of 32 stage with a pending last group game against Portugal.
