The Buganda Masaza football tournament is organized by the Buganda Kingdom ministry of sports, arts and youth. It is bankrolled by Airtel Uganda, Centenary Bank, CBS radio, bbs telefaina, Nivana, UNAIDS, Majestic brands, Plascon and Uganda AIDS Commission.

Bulange Group:

Saturday, 27th June 2026:

  • Buvuma Vs Buweekula – Magyo Ssaza Grounds (4 PM)

Sunday, 28th June 2026:

  • Buluuli Vs Busujju – Migyera playground (4 PM)
  • Kyaddondo Vs Buddu – Wampeewo playground (4 PM)

Masengere Group:

Sunday, 28th June 2026:

  • Bulemeezi Vs Mawokota – Kasana playground, Luweero (4 PM)
  • Kyaggwe Vs Busiro – Bishops S.S playground, Mukono (4 PM)
  • Gomba Vs Ssese – Kabulasoke PTC playground, Gomba (4 PM)

Muganzirwazza Group:

Sunday, 28th June 2026:

  • Mawogola Vs Bugerere – Ssaza ground (4 PM)
  • Kabula Vs Butambala – Bakijjulula playground (4 PM)
  • Kooki Vs Ssingo – St James S.S playground (4 PM)

The 2026 Buganda Masaza football tournament returns with match day two duels at various venues across the Kingdom.

The matches will be played on Saturday, 27th June and on the following day through all the groups; Bulange, Masengere and Muganzirwazza.

Buweekula Ssaza team

One game will be played on Saturday; in Bulange group as Buvuma hosts Buweekula at Magyo Ssaza grounds.

On the following day, Buluuli will entertain Busujju  at the Migyera playground as Kyaddondo will host Buddu at the Wampeewo playground.

Kyaddondo earned a point in Mubende during the official tournament’s opener away to the reigning champions Buweekula in the goal-less stalemate graced by the Katikiro Oweek. Charles Peter Mayiga.

Masengere Group:

All the three games in Masengere group will be played on Sunday, 28th June 2026.

Bulemeezi takes on a wounded Mawokota at the Kasana playground, Luweero.

Bulemeezi earned a point on match day one away at Ssese whilst Mawokota lost at their Buwama fortress to visiting Kyaggwe.

Kyaggwe will play-host to Busiro at the Bishops S.S playground, Mukono. Busiro held Gomba to a non-scoring draw on match day one at Trinity College Playground.

Felix Kawooya Ssekabuuza’s coached Gomba faces Edirisa Walusimbi’s Ssese at the Kabulasoke PTC playground.

Muganzirwazza Group:

Still on Sunday;Mawogola will take on Bugerere at the Ssaza ground.

Kabula tussles against Butambala at Bakijjulula playground whilst Kooki will host Ssingo at St James S.S playground.

On match day one, a total of 13 goals were scored in the nine matches played.

The tournament is organized by the Buganda Kingdom ministry of sports, arts and youth.

With five titles to their name, Gomba Lions remain the record tournament winners.
