FUFA has on Friday released the Club Licensing process for teams playing in the FUFA Big League, FUFA Women Super League and FUFA Women Elite League for the 2026/27 season.

The communication provides for timelimes in the licensing process where clubs must meet standards set before getting the greenlight to play.

Some of the documents therein include; the Club Licensing Timelines for the 2026/27 season, the FUFA Men’s Club Licensing Regulations Edition 2026, the FUFA Women’s Club Licensing Regulations Edition 2026, the FUFA Stadium Classification Regulations Edition 2026 and the FUFA Club Licensing Forms for the 2026/27 season.

The FUFA Big League is expected to kickoff on 20th September 2026 with the FUFA Women Super League starting on 12th September while the FUFA Women Elite League will commence on 26th September.

Key Dates

22nd June 2026 – Release of the Club Licensing Core Process 2026/27 season

1st July 2026 – Primary registration window opens

1st July 2026 – FUFA Big League pre–Season Workshop and Review

8th July 2026 – FUFA Women Super League and FUFA Women Elite League pre-season Workshop and Review

10th July 2026 – Submission of the Expression of interest form (905) to participate in the specific League

10th July 2026 – Submission of Club Licensing Documents starts

1st – 10th August 2026 – Start of Physical Inspection Visits to clubs

10th August 2026 – FUFA Big League Clubs make final submission of all physical documents for all the Club Licensing and a minimum of ten players approved on the system of which two are goal keepers.

10th August 2026 – FUFA Women Super League Clubs make final submission of all physical documents for all the Club Licensing and a minimum of ten players approved on the system of which two are goal keepers.

15th August 2026 – FWEL Clubs make final submission of all physical documents for all the Club Licensing and a minimum ten players approved on the system of which two are goal keepers.

17th – 18th August 2026 – First Instance Body Meeting to evaluation the documents submitted by clubs

21st August 2026 – In case of any Appeals, the Appeals Committee will sit for a final decision

24th August 2026 – Issuance of Club License to all Clubs that will have fulfilled the Club Licensing Requirements and submission of a list to FUFA Competitions Department.

24th August 2026 – Release of all League Fixtures

12th September 2026 – FUFA Women Super League Kick off

19th September 2026 – Primary Registration Window Closes

20th September 2026 – FUFA Big League Kick off

26th September 2026 – FUFA Women Elite League Kick off
