Belgium and Egypt qualified for the Round of 32 at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup.
These are the two countries to advance directly from Group G after the final games.
Belgium defeated New Zealand 5-1 at the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.
Leandro Trossard scored a brace with Kevin De Bruyne, substitute Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Saelemaekers netting late in the game as Belgium topped Group G with five points.
Elijah Just got the consolation for New Zealand, who bowed out with a single point.
Egypt and the Islamic Republic of Iran played to a one-all draw at the Seattle Stadium in Seattle.
Both goals arrived inside the opening quarter hour of the game.
Mahmoud Saber scored the opener for Egypt as early as the 5th minute.
The joy was short-lived when Ramin Rezaeian found the equaliser in the 14th minute.
Egypt goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir had moments before Iran’s equaliser as he saved a penalty.
Iran’s Saeid Ezatolahi looked on in disbelief when his header in added time hit the crossbar.
