Midfielder Elvis Ngonde has officially completed his move to Kampala Capital City Authority FC (KCCA FC), describing the transfer to the Lugogo-based giants as a huge step forward in his career.
Ngonde, who arrives with proven top-flight experience, expressed his immense pride in joining one of Uganda’s most decorated football clubs.
Speaking shortly after his unveiling, the ambitious midfielder made no secret of his desire to bring silverware back to the MTN Omondi Stadium.
“Joining KCCA FC is a huge step forward in my career, and it is an honour to be here,” Ngonde stated.
“This is a club with a rich history, an incredible fanbase, and a philosophy that matches my ambitions.”
KCCA FC fans are notoriously demanding, but Ngonde insists he is unfazed by the weight of expectation that comes with wearing the iconic yellow and blue jersey.
Having already tasted the realities of the Uganda Premier League, he believes he has the requisite grit to succeed under the bright lights of Lugogo.
“I know what it takes to win in this league, and I am coming to Lugogo to give 100%,” Ngonde added, sending a clear message of intent to the rest of the division.
The new signing is expected to immediately link up with the rest of the squad as pre-season preparations intensify.
Ngonde emphasised his eagerness to integrate into the team dynamics and hit the ground running under the club’s technical bench.
“I am ready to work with the technical team, fight for the badge with my new teammates, and bring joy to the fans,” he concluded.
With KCCA FC looking to reclaim their dominant position at the summit of Ugandan football, Ngonde’s blend of league experience and determination could prove to be a vital piece of the puzzle for the upcoming campaign.
