KCCA FC Co-coach Brian Ssenyondo has laid down a marker for the upcoming season, declaring that the arrival of midfielder Elvis Ngonde will fundamentally elevate the team’s technical standards.

Speaking immediately after the club finalised the midfielder’s transfer to Lugogo, Ssenyondo did not hold back his admiration for Ngonde’s elite skillset, earmarking him as a transformative addition to the squad.

“Ngonde has exceptional vision, breaks up opposition play, and seamlessly transitions defense into attack,” a delighted Ssenyondo stated.

“His arrival at Lugogo adds more competition and technical quality to the team. He will add so much to this KCCA FC side.”

Ssenyondo’s glowing assessment highlights the exact tactical blueprint he intends to implement this season. By explicitly pointing out Ngonde’s ability to seamlessly transition defense into attack, the tactician signaled a shift toward a more fluid, high-tempo style of play.

In Ssenyondo’s tactical setup, Ngonde is expected to be the vital bridge between the backline and the forward line, solving previous transitional issues that bothered the team last season.

By stating that the signing “adds more competition and technical quality,” the gaffer has made it clear that no starting position in the Lugogo engine room is guaranteed.

Rarely does a coach place such explicit, high-profile expectations on a new signing from day one. However, Ssenyondo’s words reflect absolute confidence in Ngonde’s maturity and pedigree.

With the manager having clearly defined Ngonde’s role as the team’s new tactical anchor, the pressure now shifts to the pitch.
