Antonio Eromonsele Nordby Nusa and Erling Braut Haaland’s goals inspired Norway to a 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast during the round of 32 at the on-going 2026 FIFA World Cup in Dallas.

Nusa opened the scoring in the 39th minute as the RB Leipzig midfielder scored the first goal for Norway at the World Cup knock out stages in 88 years.

Super substitute Diallo who features at Manchester United leveled the matters in the 74th minute with a bullet shot inside the goal area.

Manchester City’s Haaland restored Norway’s lead with four minutes to play. This was Haaland’s fifth goal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 60th overall in 53 international games.

Norway will now face five-time record champions Brazil on 5th July 2026 at the round of 16 stage in East Rutherford.
