Green Park Premier League and Beyichini Real Estates smile for the cameras after signing Credit: GPS

For the next three seasons, the Green Park Premier League will be dubbed ‘The Beyichini Green Park Premier League’.

This follows a partnership signed between the league organisers and Beyichini Real Estates.

The announcement was made on July 1, 2026 at the Green Park stadium in Mbarara ahead of the highly anticipated kick off on Sunday July 5.

“For the next three seasons, let me take this opportunity to inform everyone that the famous Green Park Premier League is now going to be called the Beyichini Green Park Premier League because of what has been signed,” said Green Park stadium director, Sam Tumukunde.

Sixteen teams, including defending champions Ruharo Concrete confirmed competing for the 2026/27 season in the 35+ category while the open category will have 14 teams fighting for glory, among others, last season’s winners Beyichini Real Estates.

The 2026/26 highly anticipated season will be the third in the competition’s history played at the facility in Mbarara.

Turf Today [35+] and Eddie Suits [open category] were the inaugural winners of the championships.

About Green Park Stadium, Mbarara

The facility is located in Mbarara, Ntare just opposite the famous Ntare School.

It was established and officially opened in April 2023 and thus made one year in 2024.The playing surface has an excellent turf, spacious parking space for clients, clean dressing rooms that has washrooms and bathrooms, a prayer room for the Muslim community, saloon, restaurant and bar, washing bay as well.
