Preparations for the OneVoice27 Adventist Run are in high gear after a successful launch that was held at Central Uganda Conference (CUC) headquarters in Kireka on Sunday.
The Adventist Run will take place on Sunday, September 13 and it will be the first of its kind. It will be aligned with the theme, ‘One Voice, One Run, One Purpose.’
The CUC President, Pr David Simwogerere, addressed the media at the CUC headquarters, stressing the need for everyone to take part in the upcoming event.
“This event will help us take the good message to the world. We have organised this event to help us solicit funds that will push us closer to attaining a media centre,” Pr Simwogerere noted.
“It’s also important that we keep our bodies healthy. Through this run, I am confident that we shall give our bodies the perfect activity to keep them fit and alive,” he added.
The CUC expects a diverse turnout for the inaugural event, anticipating participation from church members, professional athletes, recreational runners, corporate organisations, and the general public.
As an administrative unit of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Uganda, the CUC oversees extensive ministries including education, health, and community service.
With the launch of this run, the conference is taking a decisive step toward modernising its outreach, ensuring that the gospel message finds a powerful, modern voice on digital platforms.
