Brazil missed a first half penalty by Bruno Guimaraes Rodriguez Moura after Matheus Santos Carneiro da Cunha had been felled down in the forbidden area.

Neymar da Silva Santos Junior scored a late-late consolation via a penalty for Brazil.

Meanwhile, the other determined quarter final has the Africa ambassadors Morocco and France on 9th July 2026 in Foxborough.

Morocco smiled past co-hosts Canada 3-0 at the Houston Stadium in Houston Texas in the first round of 16 match with Azzedine Ounahi scoring a brace and Soufiane Rahimi netting a late winner.

During the second round of 16 duel; France edged Paraguay 1-0 in Philadelphia.

Captain Kylian Mbappe was on target for France with a well struck penalty in the 69th minute.
