Uganda Premier League side Vipers have learned of the group stages of the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup after draws conducted in Kigali, Rwanda.
The regional tournament draws were held at Amahoro National Stadium today, Friday, July 10 and the action is set to run from Friday, July 24 to Friday, August 7.
Vipers have been placed in Group A alongside hosts APR FC, Kenya’s Gor Mahia and Djibouti’ Garde Républicaine.
Group B has defending champions Singida Black Stars, Tanzania’s Sumba SC, Jamus SC of South Sudan and Somalia’s Mogadishu City.
Zanzibar’s KVZ FC, Kenya’s Tusker FC, Rwanda’s Rayon Sport and last year’s runners-up Al Hilal of Sudan have been pitted in group C.
The group winners will automatically qualify for the semifinals while the second-placed team will complete the last four puzzle.
Vipers are expected to use the regional tournament to fine tune their squad ahead of the CAF Champions League preliminaries.
