Midfielder Frank Katongole has officially parted ways with Vipers SC in a bid to secure more regular playing time on the pitch.

The development was confirmed today, Friday July 10, 2026, via the club’s official social media platforms.

“We say farewell and best of luck to Frank Katongole, who departs in search of regular game time,” the statement partly reads.

The hard-working player, affectionately nicknamed “Kante” by teammates and fans alike for his relentless work rate, leaves behind a legacy of dedicated service and positive locker room energy.

The club confirmed his departure in an emotional send-off statement, heavily praising the midfielder’s professional attitude throughout his tenure.

Management noted that Katongole has been a highly valued asset to the first-team squad, emphasising that his unwavering commitment and infectious energy have never gone unnoticed by the coaching staff or his peers.

While the club was sad to see him go, they expressed full support for his decision to seek out a new challenge where he can feature more prominently in starting lineups.

The team extended their warmest thanks to Katongole for his contributions to the club’s recent campaigns and officially wished him the very best of luck in the next chapter of his football career.

He becomes Vipers’ seventh departure after the exits of Grant Matsiko, Bashir Ssekgya, Alfred Mudekereza, Nicholas Wadada, Lwanga Taddeo and Livingstone Mulondo
