Muhammad Shaban on national team duty. He is relaunching his quest for the national team service at Kitara Football Club

Five months after joining Kitara, Muhamad Shaban has left the club on mutual grounds.

The temperament striker joined the Royals on February 19 this year but failed to make impact expected of him as he missed several matches through injury and was never as lethal as he has been in the past.

The confirmation of his departure was confirmed in a statement shared by his representative on X.

“We have reached a mutual agreement with Kitara to part ways,” read part of the statement signed by Santos Sports Management.

Shaban has been a journey man in his career having two stints at Onduparaka, KCCA and also featuring for champions Vipers at one time.

He has also had stints in Libya and Ethiopia and was close to joining Kenyan giants Gor Mahia at one time.

His next destination remains a mystery at the moment but could be a move beyond the borders.

Kitara has already signed Ghanaian defender Bonny Christopher, veteran winger Martin Kiiza and left back Jackson Ssembatya.

The Uganda Cup winners are preparing for a huge season ahead including representing Uganda in the Caf Confederation Cup.
