Spain overcame France 2-0 during the first semifinal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Dallas.

A goal in either half from Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro inspired Spain to yet another final as they chase their second FIFA World Cup.

Oyarzabal scored in the 22nd minute to put Spain in the lead through a well-drilled penalty after Lamine Yamal had been kicked in the forbidden area.

Porro doubled their lead two minutes to the hour mark.

Adrien Rabiot and skipper Kylian Mbappe were the French players booked.

Marc Cucurella was cautioned for Spain, who wait for the winner between Argentina and England in Wednesday’s semifinal.
