Argentina will face Spain in the long-awaited final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Sunday, 19th July.

Anthony Gordon gave England the lead on 55 minutes.

Enzo Fernandez celebrates the equalizer

Enzo Fernandez equalised with 5 minutes to go in normal time before super substitute Lautaro Martinez scored in the second of the 7 added minutes with a great, powerful header.

Both goals were assisted by the 39-year-old Argentina captain Lionel Messi.

Messi was named man of the match for the fourth time in the tournament.

Argentina, three-time winners of the FIFA World Cup, now face Spain in Sunday’s final.

Spain overcame France 2-0 in Dallas during the first semifinal.

A goal in either half from Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro inspired Spain to yet another final as they chase their second FIFA World Cup trophy since 2010.
