Five players including midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba will not be part of NEC squad next season, the club has confirmed.
In a statement released by the club, Mutyaba leaves following expiry of his contract as well as centre back Patrick Bayiga.
“𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙟𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙡𝙚.
“Your dedication to the badge will always be appreciated. Wishing you all the very best in your future endeavours.”
The duo has spent two seasons with the club but found less playing time last campaign after the sacking of Hussein Mbalangu.
They are joined by Jackson Ssembatya, Siraje Sentamu and Timothy Muwanguzi whose contracts have been ended on mutual grounds.
Ssembatya has already signed with Kitara FC while Sentamu is linked with a move to Express FC.
NEC are yet to confirm any new arrivals this transfer window although it is reported that last season’s best young player of the season, Enrique Lubwama could be a complete deal.
