Team Uganda will head to the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games with a strong and diverse delegation of 55 athletes, including five para-athletes, representing eight national sports federations.
The squad reflects Uganda’s continued growth across different sporting disciplines, with a strong emphasis on women’s participation. Out of the 55 athletes selected, 34 are female, while 21 are male, making women the majority in the delegation.
Uganda will compete in 9 sporting disciplines at the Games: athletics, judo, swimming, para-swimming, track cycling, netball, para-powerlifting, weightlifting, boxing and women’s 3×3 basketball.
The Glasgow-bound team will also make history, with judo and women’s 3×3 basketball making their Commonwealth Games debut.
The women’s team will feature in all disciplines except weightlifting and track cycling, demonstrating Uganda’s growing investment and development of female athletes.
