Tanzania’s Azam FC have confirmed the signing of Hassan Mubiru from SC Villa.
The forward joins the Ice Cream makers on a two-year contract until 2028.
Mubiru, who had enjoyed a brilliant season with SC Villa had signed with Azam last month immediately after the Stanbic Uganda Cup final which the Jogoos lost 2-1 to Kitara at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru.
He becomes the latest Ugandan to move to the Tanzania Premier League after Allan Okello who joined Young African in the January transfer window.
Mubiru follows in the footsteps of compatriots Brian Umony, Brian Majwega and Nicholas Wadada who have previously played at Azam.
George ‘Best’ Nsimbe is another Ugandan to have ever worked with Azam as coach and later assistant.
