Spain trio poses with individual awards Credit: FIFA

From winning their second 2026 Fifa World Cup to collecting all individual awards.

Spain saw off Argentina in the World Cup final at the MetLife stadium in New York with Fermin Lopez scoring the winner in the second half of extra time following a goalless draw in 90 minutes.

Manchester City midfield gem Rodrigo was named the Most Valuable Player taking home the Golden Ball award as he beat Argentina captain Lionel Messi and England’s Jude Bellingham among others to the gong.

Youngster Pau Cubarsi was named the Young Player of the tournament while La Rojas goalkeeper Unai Simons won the Golden Glove award for being the best custodian in the tournament.

Unai conceded just one goal the entire tournament in the 2-1 win over Belgium.

Besides the Spanish trio, France captain Kylian Mbappe won the golden boot after scoring 10 goals and in doing so become the all-time top scorer of the World Cup with 21 goals.
